About Reeves Hill

The site at Reeves Hill is owned by three local land owners, one of whom is a shareholder in Marches Green Energy, our local partners in this project. The site is currently laid to pasture and mainly used for grazing sheep. This use would continue after the erection of the turbines. There is a small wooded area within the site, which would be used to screen the sub station from the public highway.

Why Reeves Hill is a great location for a windfarm:

  • Good wind speed
  • No aviation issues
  • No communications links issues
  • Choice of grid connection possibilities
  • Accessible site
  • Limited cumulative visual impact
  • Sparsely populated location
  • Not in a designated protected area
